OKLAHOMA!

Yesterday morning we got up at 4:45 and left about 5:05 for a quick trip to Oklahoma and back. Believe it or not, we drove to Hunter, OK, which is just east of Enid, Oklahoma (almost to Kansas) to pick up an aquarium full of live rock and coral as well as a bunch of fish, invertebrates, and other stuff that were in the aquarium of the mayor of Hunter, OK. He had advertised online the sale of his aquarium and all the reef fish and live rock that were in it as well as the lights that help the live rock grow and Jim bought it from him today.

We did not buy the aquarium itself because Jim is going to put all of the stuff into the one we have now. Ours is actually bigger than the one that he had and so the stuff will easily fit into it. We got home at about 5:45 pm after our drive with one tiny stopover at Robson Ranch near Denton. We are hoping to go up there in October for a tour and a weekend stay so we just stopped a moment to see where it is.

So now all of the stuff for the set up is in buckets of salt water that we brought back as well as the water we took out of our tank in order to get it all ready. Jim took out all of the gravel/rock that was at the bottom of the tank and replaced it with the living sand from the reef tank. Finally he was so exhausted he couldn't do anythng else so we made sure that the air was pumped into each place where there were fish (about 4 or 5 different large containers sitting in the game room. That is what is shown in the picture above...the tank being readied and set up--IN PROGRESS.
